Kyllini is a town and port of Ilia perfecture. It is a former independent community, former municipal district, and home of the Kapodistrian municipality of Kastro-Kyllini. Today it belongs to the municipality of Andravida-Kyllini.
During the Frankish rule, very close to Kyllini there was Glarentza, the seaport of Andravida which was the capital of the Achaean principality.
Kyllini is also famous for its thermal springs which lie 9 km far from the town, in a natural forest. The springs date from ancient times and there have been found establishments of the Roman period.
Kyllini connects with Zakynthos with daily routes throughout the year. The trip lasts for about an hour.
